Hospital Expansion Complete!!!

Harrison County Community Hospital District board members were given a review of construction progress during their monthly meeting on May 23.  Hospital Administrator Rich Hamilton said the board would study plans for asphalting the employee parking lot and improving the air conditioning system at the hospital.  The board approved a bid from Corporate Express to install furniture in administrative offices located in the lower level of HCCH. The cost will be $16,862.

Amy Eastin, director of health information management, and Laura Squires, director of social services, made presentations to the board.  In the financial report for the month of April, HCCH had an operating gain of $21,063 before the addition of district revenue, according to Hamilton.  The board discussed proposals to extend financial assistance to newly-recruited physicians. A further announcement about these developments will be made in the upcoming weeks.

Hamilton announced that former board member Charlene Frame has agreed to serve as co-chairman of the Hospital Foundation with Paul Thomas and Angie Linthacum.
