2024 Health Careers Boot Camp

Harrison County Community Hospital invites local students to explore various careers in healthcare through its Health Careers Boot Camp. Scheduled for July 22-26 at the hospital in Bethany, this program is open to high school juniors and seniors for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

The camp targets students considering a future in health or medical fields, aiming to help them clarify their career goals. Participants will:

  • Shadow professionals in clinical departments.
  • Discover non-clinical healthcare roles, including IT and business functions.
  • Gain hands-on experience in a professional healthcare setting.
  • Engage in reflective journaling to process their experiences.
  • Earn a certificate and a $100 stipend upon completion of the program.
  • Qualify for future scholarship opportunities.

The Health Careers Boot Camp is made possible by the Howard and Leah Trullinger Scholarship Fund, administered by the Harrison County Community Hospital Foundation. Graduates of the camp are eligible for a renewable $1,000 scholarship for future education.
