September Community Update

Harrison County Community Hospital is pleased to provide the latest update on the ongoing construction of our new hospital facility.

The storm (Line 3) piping, structures, and lifeline installation for the east parking lot are expected to be completed this week. The east fire loop has already been successfully installed, and we are now preparing to install the gas line, which will be completed by Nail Excavating, along with electrical conduits for the parking lot lighting.

The site concrete work for the curb and gutter and the light pole bases in the east parking lot is set to begin next week. In addition, sidewalk construction for the public road will also be completed within this timeframe.

Construction efforts have been divided into four distinct areas: A, B, C, and D. In Area A, located south of the site, we expect to pour the first foundation in mid-September. To give the community a preview of the building’s design and color scheme, a mock-up of the pre-cast concrete walls has been set up on-site.

4-Week Look Ahead:

  • Complete site storm utility installation in the east parking lot.
  • Begin site electrical installation in the east parking lot.
  • Begin installation of curbs and gutters in the east parking lot.
  • Start storm utility installation on the west side of the site.
  • Complete under-slab plumbing in Area A.
  • Begin under-slab plumbing in Areas B and C.
  • Complete under-slab electrical work in Area B.
  • Begin under-slab electrical work in Area A.
  • Begin slab on grade (SOG) placements in Area A.

We remain committed to keeping the community informed of key milestones in this exciting project. Thank you for your continued support as we work toward a state-of-the-art facility that will enhance healthcare services in Harrison County.
