June Community Update

It is hard to believe, but this time next year, we will be delivering care from our brand-new hospital! This is such an exciting milestone for our community, and there is still plenty to accomplish as we count down the months.

One question, we continue to receive from the public: What will happen to the old hospital? The Board has formed a committee to explore future options for the existing facility; we will keep you updated as those discussions unfold.

Progress Highlights from the Past Month:

  • Curbing installed along the west service road and north parting lots
  • Air handlers delivered
  • Ongoing drywall, insulation, and priming of paint in Area A (Inpatient, Emergency, Cardio Pulmonary, Laboratory, Imaging Services, Pharmacy, Family Activity, and Inpatient Rehabilitation)
  • Standing seam and metal panels added to the roof
  • Main Entry canopy fully installed

What’s Coming Next:

  • Finish framing in Area D (Therapy Services, Cardiac Rehab, Senior Life Solutions, Registration, Outpatient Specialty, Health Information, Business Office, and Adiministration)
  • Begin drywall and insulation work in Area C (Kitchen/Cafeteria, Gift Shop, Conference Rooms, Envionrmental Services, Materials Management, IT, Human Resources, and Marketing)
  • Finish drywall and insulation in Area B (Surgery, Recovery, and Mechanical)
  • Continue painting (prime and first coat) in Area A
  • Megin MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) wall installations in Area D
  • Continue installing window frames and glass
  • Begin irrigation and landscaping across the site
